What is pressure washing?
Pressure washing is a way of cleaning hard surfaces like concrete, block-paving or wooden decking by applying a high pressure water spray.
Will it cause a lot of mess?
Pressure washing can be messy but we use rotary cleaners. This means that splashing of surrounding areas is greatly reduced and contained within the hood of the cleaner, however, there will always be some splashes and we always advise that windows are closed and items moved that could potentially be damaged. We always cleanup after ourselves and spray down windows, walls and fence panels etc.
Do you re-sand block paving after cleaning?
Yes, we do. During cleaning about 5mm of sand which has been infected with moss and weed growth will be removed from between the joints. This will need to be replaced so as to stop the blocks from moving and to retain the stability of structure. The addition of fresh sand always adds to the overall look, the sand and application is included in the quote.
Do you need access to my water?
Yes, we will need use of your water via access to an outside tap.
Are you Insured?
Yes, fully insured.
Can oil stains be removed?
Oil stains can be significantly reduced in their appearance and neutralized so as not to be spread into the property by foot traffic, but a lot will depend on the surface the stain is on, the age and the type of stain. (a chemical will be required to be used)
Do I need to present for the clean?
No, as long as we have clear access to the areas to be cleaned and the water supply there is no need for you to be there.
Do you use chemicals?
Mostly we use water pressure only for cleaning, but where there may be bad rust or oil stains and heavy mossed areas we may get a better result with the application of chemicals, if this is so we would always seek your permission first.
Approximately how long does your driveway cleaning service take?
In practice, a two-car driveway will take about half a day, but this does depend on the condition, surface material and drainage.
Do you remove weeds from driveways?
Yes, moss and weeds will be fully removed.
Do you apply a sealant to driveways and patios?
Yes, we offer surface sealing services using the latest sealing techniques. We also offer approved protective coatings from leading providers, such as Resiblock and Picscoat that are environmentally safe.
